"Vogue"

A fairly simple portrait using a diffusion panel with flash head and barn doors to create the main light. The pose was designed to give an assertive look and showcase the natural beauty of the model. The painted muslin was about 6 feet behind the subject and deliberately thrown somewhat out of focus to keep it from being distracting. Her hair was lit using a strobe head with barn doors opened just enough to provide the correct amount of hair light without blocking up the detail. Note that the location of the main light creates added texture in the front of the dress.
