"Saturday in the Park" The goal in this portrait was to show the
relationship between mom and daughter. They are very
close and have a lot of fun together. There are trees all
around and an open area of sky above and behind them.
When the little girl looked up at mom she received
perfect light on the mask area of her face. In this
situation, moms face did not get the quality of light
that the little girl did but she is not the primary
subject. She is looking at the child who is reacting. The
child's face is where your eye tends to go since she is
the animated one. No additional equipment was used. The
light is totally natural, just before dusk.
