Even though Adobe Photoshop has taken center stage as THE tool for photographic retouching and image enhancement, there is still a great deal to be said about the photographer who learns the art of conventional retouching. Using wet dyes, dry dyes and other forms of correction can be a real time and money saver. In addition, the experience will help you learn to make better images as a photographer.

With this in mind, I would like to recommend a book on the subject that I was involved with a number of years ago. My special friend, Jan Way Miller wrote a book for AMPHOTO called Retouching Your Photographs. I did nearly all of the photography for this great book. Today, this book remains what many feel is the finest book available on the broad subject of conventional retouching. The book is loaded with color photographs and illustrations that give step by step instructions. You can find the book through amazon.com and at most major book chains.

Below you will see a picture of the cover and more info about the books content.
I recommend it highly. - Scott
