
This gallery is a bit different because the images you will see are a combination of Becky's work and mine as well. This is how it started. Being primarily a portrait photographer, I began thinking about how Becky manipulated her images. We both already knew that manipulating faces rarely worked out unless your goal was to make the person look like a distorted space alien. I kept feeling that there had to be a technique that would work for portraits. Finally after a lot of discussion, we decided that if I created some tight head and shoulders portraits, she would manipulate them but avoid working the eyes and other main features of the face. With this in mind I took off for a renaissance festival to capture some character studies with the SX-70 and telephoto lens. She only got to do a few of these before her death.
