Hi:
This is my ladybug page. I like ladybugs. I think they are cute. They tickle me when I pick them up. Did you know that there are over 3,000 different kinds of ladybugs? They all have black spots. Most of them have 7 spots. All ladybugs have 6 legs.

Ladybugs are our friends because they eat all sorts of bad bugs that eat our gardens.

Not all ladybugs are really ladies. There are boy ladybugs too! The girl ladybug lays tiny eggs in plants in the spring. She might lay from 300 to 1,500 eggs in her lifetime.
After a few days the eggs hatch. The babies are all black and will take a week to gow up into a grownup ladybug. That's pretty fast.
When you see a ladybug, be nice to it because it helps us keep our gardens pretty.
