"Gray Bird" This African Gray remains one of the finest subjects I have ever worked with. He was polite, cooperative and a total delight, not to mention great to look at. Lighting for a bird like this is not the same as with a person or a dog. The birds best angle is a profile so the head can be seen along with the body. In this case, lighting from the left of the camera fully lit the head,neck and back. The accent light from the rear, edge lights the legs and right wing a bit.
