"Guitar Man" Portraits with instruments are some of the more enjoyable to do. You never know what will happen. Sometimes you will get a free concert while you work! Portraits can be as complicated as you choose to make them but a simpler design with less confusion is often the better choice. Don't give the eye too many things to look at. The second hand in this portrait would not have added anything to the image. It is simple and comfortable. Two lights were used on the background to give it a split color effect. Blue from the lower right and fucia from the upper left. Both are near the background and are essentially facing each other.
